Since 1981 J&J Machining, Inc. has worked to become a leader in the portable machining industry. We provide our customers with a variety of field machining services. Our founder, Tim Austin, specialized in portable machining for over 30 years. J&J Machining, Inc. has two facilities; our corporate office is located in Houston, Texas and we also have a satellite location in Austin, Texas. Our Main office in Houston, TX consists of corporate offices, a 5600 square foot machine shop/ service building and a 20,000 square foot fenced yard. Our Austin, TX facility consists of an office area and an 1,875 square foot machine shop. We specialize in onsite field machining. Somtimes it is more cost and time effective to take the machine to the equipment rather than the equipment to the machine and our portable machines were designed with that in mind. The bulk of our work is done in the field. Our specialties include: lapping seats/seat pockets: drilling and tapping holes; repairing gasket surfaces on flange faces by machining or lapping; cutting and beveling pipe; welding up and boring out pin holes on heavy equipment. All of our work is done to the specified customer requests.
